Breathing my way to Balance

3 Days to go!
Just in case you have been wondering how I have kept my balance throughout our waiting time here in St. Martin; I have been hanging out with some amazing Heart Energy Beings at the Joga Studio overlooking the Lagoon of Simpson Bay. They have just opened up four weeks ago and going strong offering different styles of yoga classes for everyone's needs in this time of changes as well as creative motivating alignment workshops. Absolute fantastic, if you ever are in St. Martin and looking for relaxing time out, or maybe want to nurture your body with a cold pressed juice and vegan carrot cake, or have an inspiring conversations or just simply sweating out your toxins from the nights before, this is the place to go.....Deanna Di Carlo and Nikola Brothercap have been my favourite teachers in the Joga Studio here in St. Martin. Thank you very much for creating this space and sharing it from your heart
It all started really with my intention of doing a month of detox, before moving to Germany. However I needed some outside inspiration to get the toxins moving, that's when I signed up with the  Joga team.  Nikolas workshop about arm balance has helped me to shift my perception of moving to Germany and to look at this decision upside down. Deannas classes were fast, vigorous and I needed to cover the mat with a towel otherwise I could have taken a bath in my own sweat.  One morning I got up and I started with an inner cleansing of the inside of my body. I drank 8 cups of slightly salted water and did 8 different yoga postures after each cup that I drank. That got me going.  I cut all wheat products, no sugar, no milk only very nutrient food would enter my body and I was very mindful of my patterns of eating habits and thoughts around this. That morning I announced to my family I will be on a serious diet from today on. Carlos and Julia looked at me and asked my why I would do that, when I explained to them that I wanted to loose some weight and detox my body from the sugar, cheese and yummy French bread they looked at me a bit strange but accepted it. They wondered what I would eat and drink, reckon that I don't need to loose weight, however started observing me from that day on. Well it was a great process and not only did I loose weight, but  the main achievement is that I feel light in my mind and relaxed in my heart and have been feeling absolutely amazing and charged up with so much energy, it has been wonderful and still is. I suppose I not only detoxed my body, but also my mind. I have been feeling really great and now really looking forward to move to Germany and can see all the great gift it will bring to us as a family and especially to myself. Wishing you all a wonderful day ..... and stay tuned and you will find out in a couple of days what else I have been brewing  up in my mind and allowed to emerge from my heart as I have been tossing out  and burning off everything that was no longer needed on this new adventure......

The boxes are packed we are ready to go......

You can call it a leap year, a gap year, a sabbatical year, a year off...whatever it was its completed and the year is over and there is one thing for sure, we are moving once again. Some people have asked Why would you want to move if you liked it so much, WHY would you move if you have found paradise .... the answer is simple.... I love challenges and with every move there is a change and with change their is growth and each time I move out of my comfort zone I evolve in my... heart and soul......my home is inside me and I am my best friend, so wherever I will move I feel at home.
25 years ago when I first moved to New Zealand I tried to learn to play the guitar with my friend Avalon and this is one of the songs I tried to learn on the guitar and this comes to my mind right now ..... thinking off all my friends in New Zealand right now...

All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Ganesha is coming along ..... I am ready to step through that door of my deepest hearts desire...

Ganesh is sitting on the plane tickets to make the transition as smooth as possible, so that we can experience this transition with ease and grace!

I think at some stage Sven was worried whether we can fit all the boxes in the Dinghy!

Caroline from Tortola comes to visit

Oh I was certainly excited when my friend Caroline from Tortola had the opportunity to sail down to St. Martin and hang out with me. We had a bit more then 24 hours to hang out together and we made the most out of it. We did yoga, went shopping on the French side, visited a couple of galleries and then went out for lunch to the Lotery Farm up in the mountains of St. Martin and watched the sunset. Unfortunately I left my camera in the car when we strolled around the French side, but never mind I will carry this special time with you forever in my heart . What a special treat to have such a relaxing time together and to just hang out without a real agenda...amazing ....thank you Caroline that has meant a lot to me.....looking forward to see you again soon, we already planted the seed of seeing us again soon......next time we are planning to meet in Portugal.

Hanging out on Waikiki Beach

I am just sharing these pictures so that you can see what a drag it has been for all of us to hang out in St. Martin until everything has been finalized in selling the Catamaran. Waikiki Beach has certainly taken a top rank on favorites places in St. Martin. We all loved it here very much and brought Julia and Karsten from SV/ Rhoen here,  Carlos friend Justin from SV/Oslar and Julias friend Nim from SV/ Cedar. We will be missing those beach days, but eventually be replacing them with lots of freezing evenings in front of the fire and a warm "Grogg" in our hands to be warmed from the inside.

Airport Beach at Maho Bay

Airport beach at Maho Bay is probably one of the biggest attraction in St. Martin and this time round we can say we have been there not only once, several times with everyone who love to hang out with us. Some days are really  bus and the beach is busting with people from  the cruise ships, other days its empty, well a big part it probably which plane is landing and departing. Some planes are really trying hard to fly in as low as they can and you have the feeling you can touch the landing gear of the plane, KLM and Air France is really putting on a show when they depart St. Martin. When you can see the way they place the plane for taking off, you know there will be lots of stones, sand, t-shirts, hats, sunglasses, towls and sometimes even people flying through the air. I have lost count of how many times we have watched and taken part of this spectacles, but everytime its great either because of the people you meet there, the friends you hang out with or simply you enjoy taking a swim to cool off in the nice turquois water in Maho Bay.
