What a highlight for the kids: A Sea Rescue Workshop
What an amazing experience for all kids here in Prickley Bay Marina, Grenada to be part of this workshop. They not only learned how to use the VHF in an emergency, they also learned to s...upport each other when entering a rescue vessel, how to be patient when the Life Support Raft does not open up and how to use flares and only to use them with care and in a life threatening situation. The biggest highlight however was cruising around the harbour with the Grenadian Coast Guard Rescue Boat. The biggest question of how fast the Coast Guard can drive was not answered to keep an advantage to the "bad guys". All in all I have to say thank you for Darren of Prickley Bay Marina to organize and support this event, it shows again how easy it is to learn when you can relate to the subject and how much fun it is to teach kids when they are having fun!
