Look what we found underneath our boat in Salt Whistle Bay, Mayreau; the shell of a beautiful turtle. I am shocked and disgusted that people are still hunting and killing these beautiful and graceful animals of the sea. However despite the disgusting smell and sadness we used this opportunity as a biology lesson as well as a lesson for life; standing tall, walking the talk and making a difference. When we turned the shell you could clearly see the spine and how the shell is attached to the body. We quickly released the empty shell back into the ocean, and making sure that we are protecting turtles in their environment and not supporting the killing by either eating turtle meat or buying any products made out of the shell from a turtle.
