Wind, Salt and the sound of the Sea

14. July 2014
I was full of anticipation to go back onto the water and as soon as we lifted the anchor my curiosity was awake. I could smell the ocean, feel the breath of the wind on my skin and hear the sound of the waves against the hull and it felt so... good again to be moving on the waters again. A plot of dolphins greeted us and we were all very happy chappy. However then the weather changed and the direction of the wind turned to be different than predicted. Wind against current and the wind (25 knots) came from the south exactly the direction where we needed to go. OMG what a journey we surely have experienced now the difference between a 38 t Mono hull to a 11 to Catamaran. The weather was surely not on our favour and we had to pound our way through the waters. Carlos, Julia and I did not feel too good throughout the trip, but thanks to our Captain and "Cool Change" we made it safe and sound through the churning Caribbean Seas. We have arrived and anchoring safely in a nice Bay in St. Kitts and we have to hide here for a couple of days until the wind turns again.
